  • Do I need a partner?
No. Both ladies and gentlemen often come to our dance classes on their own. During our classes, you will be asked to partner up with another student; we also change partners during the class. If there are insufficient partner numbers in the class, then occasionally you may need to dance without a partner for a single music track, while available partners rotate around the class.
  • Do we have to change partners?
Not if you really don't want to! An important part of learning to dance is learning to 'drive a new model'. However, if you prefer, you may stay together.
  • What should I wear and do I need dance shoes?
Wear something comfortable - you are likely to get a bit hot. Shoes that stay on your feet are all that's required at Beginner level.
  • What if I haven't done any dancing before?
That's what our Beginners course is for. The classes are aimed at those who have never danced before. Find out more about our range of dance classes.
  • When does a new course start?
Our Ballroom & Latin American and Street Latin courses all start the 1st week of each month, so you will never have to wait long before joining a new course. Adult Beginners Ballroom & Latin American commences the 1st Wednesday of each month. Adult Improvers Ballroom & Latin American commences the 1st Wednesday of each month . Adult Intermediate Ballroom & Latin American commences the 1st Moonday of each month . Adult Beginners Street Latin commences the 1st Tuesday of each month. Adult Improvers Street Latin commences the 1st Tuesday of each month. Adult Shine commences the first Saturday of each month. To give you an opportunity to 'try before you buy' at Beginners, Improvers and Intermediate levels, we have scheduled some Free Introductory nights through the year. This is a great chance to try out a class before committing to a whole course. There is no obligation - just turn up and enjoy a class. 10% discount if you sign up on the night. Check our Free Class Calendar for the next Free Intro Classes. For an explanation of the levels available to dancers who may want to progress from Beginners to a Medal or Competition Dancers, check out Dance Class Styles.
