ADULT DANCE CLASSES
Our Ballroom & Latin American and Street Latin courses all start the 1st week of each month, so you will never have to wait long before joining a new course. You are welcome to come and view a class if you would like, before joining on the first week of the month.
'Casual' lessons are now possible, but you are better to register for a course. We have Free Intro Nights (dates listed below) for those who would like to try a class. Check our Studio Noticeboard to find which dances are being taught in each class.
For those who enjoy dancing alone, our new class - SHINE - is perfect for you. Latin Styling Shine classes are on Saturday mornings ~ learn how to own the movement, be confident, precise and make defined choices in this fabulous new class. Must start at the beginning of the month.

Free Introduction Class
​
To give you an opportunity to 'try before you buy', we schedule Free Introductory nights throughout the year. This is a great opportunity to try out a class before committing to a whole course, enabling you to decide which of the Beginner Courses you would like to do. There is no need to book and no obligation to commit to a course - just turn up and enjoy a class. Bring your friends and have some fun! One person will win a free Beginners course (lucky draw) and all who attend are offered a 10% discount if they sign up on the night.

Beginner Ballroom & Latin American

The dances you will learn as a beginner are Foxtrot, Waltz, Quickstep, Cha Cha Cha, Samba, and Rock n Roll.
Course: 8 weeks, commencing on the FIRST week of each month. Please note there is now a casual rate, but much better to commit to a course, and it is important to start on the first night.

Improver Ballroom & Latin American

The improvers class focuses on improving and extending the dances taught in the Beginner Course.
Course: 8 weeks, commencing on the FIRST week of each month. Please note although there is now a casual rate, it is much better to commit to a course, and it is important to start on the first night.

Intermediate Ballroom & Latin American
​
Continuing the dances from Improver and also adding Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, Tango, Rumba and Jive. One Ballroom and one Latin American dance taught each month. Check the studio Noticeboard to see which dances are scheduled each month.

Beginner Street Latin

The dances you will learn are Salsa, Bachata, Argentine Tango, and Merengue at the beginner level.

New Vogue
​
New Vogue classical sequence dances, including Waltzes, Foxtrots, Tangos and Marches.

Improver Street Latin

Latin "Shine" Class (Styling)
​
Our Latin Styling Shine Classes are particularly great for those who prefer / enjoy / love to dance alone!

Course: 8-weeks, commencing on the FIRST week of each month. Please note although there is now a casual rate, it is much better to commit to a course, and it is important to start on the first day.

Medal Class (NZFATD)

Medal classes are for those who wish to learn at a more technical level than in the 'social classes'.
​
Course: It takes two terms to prepare for each of these Advanced Medals, so you need to join the class at the beginning of Term 1 or Term 3. The Medal Tests are at the end of Term 2 and Term 4.

Training Squad
​
By invitation only, the Training Squad is an in-depth technical training in Ballroom and Latin America. It is designed for competition dancers and those in medal classes. Ask your teacher whether this could be a good fit for you!

Course: 10-week term
​
Venue: UCan2 Dance Studio (23 Tarndale Grove, Rosedale, Auckland)
​
Day/Time: Junior & Adults, Wednesday @ 6:00pm - 7:25pm $500 for Adults, $450 for Juniors.
​
Cost: Term fee only and payable before commencement. No charge for any other classes! Come to SHINE, Mandarin classes, Street Latin, anything! PLUS we always welcome you as VIP helpers if you'd like to come and take part.
