Dancing is fun and good for you too!
The next Free Introduction to our Adult Beginners & Intermediate Ballroom & Latin American Courses for this year is on February 29. Beginners 7.30pm, Intermediate 8.30pm. This is a great opportunity to try us out and perhaps book in for a course.  You will join in the class and learn a few steps and we will show you exactly what you would learn during the Beginners Course.  All who attend and register on the night receive a 10% discount and one person will win a free course in our lucky draw.  Just do it!

Exciting news! More news to come! There will be workshops and private lessons with Luca Bussoletti (World Professional 10 Dance Champion) and Stefan Green (World Professional Latin American finalist). All dancers welcome – we already have a contingent planning to come from Wellington!

The restaurant was full, the food was delicious and the entertainment was outstanding! If you missed “Love is Everywhere” keep an eye on the website for dates of the next nights that Ucan2 will be dancing at Bolero Restaurant.

Book a table at Bolero Restaurant and watch two of our Ucan2 couples dance while you enjoy the delicious food and great atmosphere.

Well! The weather wasn’t kind to us at all! We set up bright and early and were very happy with the way our Ucan2 exhibition looked, but were very concerned by the very black clouds. We got wet a few times before the official start time arrived and were grateful that our TV was on wheels as it was on the move often to protect it from the elements. The promised crowds didn’t turn up (neither did at least 14 of the ‘exhibits’) but we had a good time anyway. Our dancers put on an exhibition in the gym which was very well received by those present (had to cancel the outdoor stage appearance – you’re getting the picture, right?!)
Thanks to all of you who did brave the weather and took the time to enter our “You Can Win” Competition. The prize was an Adult Beginner Ballroom & Latin American Course for 2 people PLUS one term’s tuition for 2 in the Kids or Teens Beginner Ballroom & Latin American class – total value $492.00.
The winner (drawn at www.random.org) was Jan Habgood. We hope we’ll see Jan and her family at Ucan2 really soon.

Registrations close on Friday 13 January for the Learn to Dance Day and for the Training Camp that are coming up next week. It’s important, for planning purposes, that we have a clear idea of numbers. Late registrations incur an additional fee so what better reason to get on and do it now!

Learn to Dance Day is perfect for those who are now getting bored with the holidays (especially in this glum weather) and would like to learn a new skill, and for those who have done a little bit of dancing before – perhaps at school – and are ready to learn a bit more.

Training Camp is for all of you who can’t wait to get back into your dancing and are ready for a full weekend of hard work. If you have reached a minimum of Intermediate level you will be able to join in this exciting weekend.  For Medal dancers and Competitive dancers, it’s a must! Don’t miss out!

A reminder that Adult Beginners and Intermediate classes start this evening.

Beginners at 7.30pm and Intermediate at 8.30pm.

For Beginners it’s foxtrot, cha cha and rock n roll; for Intermediate it’s TANGO and RUMBA.
